    Day 120

Started my new job this morning! It’s been a little slow. The boss won’t get here for another 20 mins (and I’ve been here for almost 2 hours), but everyone seems lovely.

Today is my off day from the gym, so I’m going out to dinner with an old friend, but I brought my gym clothes with me just in case I change my mind. I realized belatedly that my food situation isn’t going to be the best today. I didn’t pack a breakfast or a lunch, so I’m running on two cups of coffee with splenda and skim milk at the moment, and I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to do for sustenance the rest of the day. I’m sure as the week goes on I’ll figure it out.

I’m sorry I haven’t given my June goals yet. I’m still working on them, but I plan to have a solid list by the end of the day. Trying to figure out what’s going to be feasible or not with this new schedule I have to keep.

Other than that, keep on keeping on, folks. Today’s a good day!

    xoxo.

  2.

    Day 108

Only a few hours away from heading home for my sister’s graduation. I can’t believe she’s old enough to be graduating. I can’t believe I’m old enough for her to be graduating! Anyway, I’m going to be in and out, but I wanted to remind everyone to eat clean and keep on exercising :)

I went to the gym this morning and had time to bike seven miles, shower, and come home and pack. I packed gym clothes with me in the hopes that I’ll be able to fit in a workout or two when I’m home, but it is a celebratory weekend, so we’ll see.

    Best to all. xoxo.

  3.

    Day 107

My first day of unemployment. I slept until 11, and just did follow up communications about scheduling two separate interviews. Now, I’m going to make myself some brunch, sign up for unemployment, and head to the gym for some cardio. I think some swimming? It is 81 degrees and sunshiney.

Or perhaps I’ll grab a book and read it on a bike. So many fun things I can do at the gym with my unemployment!

Just kidding, I’m looking to get re-hired ASAP. But it does feel slightly nice to have  day of recuperation time. How’s everyone else’s Tuesday going?

seriously, cut soda completely out of your diet. it makes your life so much better.

One thing I’m most excited about for my unemployment - being able to go to afternoon yoga class at my gym. I most often forget to stretch, and I can’t wait to work on my flexibility.

    Day 106

Sorry I have been so MIA this past week. I really didn’t want to be spewing negativity all over everyone’s feeds, and I also really needed to just take some time off from some of the negative mindsets that have started to pervade this community. It definitely worked. I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Yesterday was my last session with the personal trainer I bought with my tax return money. It was very bittersweet, but it also showed me how much I’d improved in the past two months. I’m able to lift so much heavier, I’ve started to see definition in my arms and shoulders, and I’ve lost body fat percentage while maintaining the number on the scale, which means I’ve been able to build up some muscle and strength (which was my goal!)

This week is going to be a little bit murky still - I’m trying to figure out my gym schedule on top of trying to find a job and going home for my little sister’s graduation (which happens to be as far across the country from LA as you can get) and managing my stress level/financial concerns. Today is my last day at my current job, and then I’ll be living the life of unemployment. So… Not sure what this week is going to bring. But hopefully it’ll be good. xoxo.

  7.

    Day 99

I’m getting stronger. Yesterday was the first time I really truly noticed it. But I can see definition in my arms, I’m getting more of a butt (FINALLY), and as my trainer mentioned, my face is thinning out a little. I know that this has been an incredibly slow process (as it should be), but it was nice to realize there has been some change in the three months I’ve been at this lifestyle change.

It gave me hope and encouragement, two things that I’ve been in dire need of at the moment.

So much so that I’m contemplating forgoing my rest day in favor of going to the gym tonight. We’ll see how the day goes, but that’s the plan for now. So much excess energy that needs to be dispelled somewhere. The treadmill might be the place. Getting stuff done beginning today! xoxo LC.

  8.

    Convo With My Trainer...

Trainer: Your face looks so skinny.

Me: Yeah, I'm losing from the top down, which means my boobs are getting smaller.

    Trainer: *checks out my rack*

    Me: ...

    Trainer: *blushes*

Trainer: Right, uh... five more reps.

Me: You're the first straight man I've met in West Hollywood.

    Trainer: *blushes*

  9.

Hello new sudden influx of followers. Welcome to my crazy journey to a successful life! Heading to the gym for an hour or two. Feel free to leave any questions you might have in my absence *bats eyes* :)

  10.

    Day 96

Tonight’s run is going to be SO good. This week has been such a clusterfuck of unnecessary stress and anxiety, and I can not wait to run it out. It also doesn’t help that I haven’t made it to the gym since Sunday.

Tonight, it is ON. Working on a new playlist during my lunch break. Will post later. xoxo.

  11.

    Day 57

I just had two of my muffins for breakfast this morning. They are SO good. They’re also pretty damn healthy, which is good, seeing as I totally fell off the healthy food wagon last night.

I went to a friend’s house to watch the premiere of Game of Thrones, and I stupidly thought my Chipotle from earlier in the afternoon would hold me. It didn’t. So, on top of having Chipotle (I did have a chicken fajita bowl, which wasn’t too terrible….and then had chips which ARE terrible), I also had potato chips, dip, meatballs (w/ red meat), and a cupcake with buttercream frosting. Really not the best way to welcome April. However, I did make a very healthy lunch for myself and the banana walnut muffins I made are AMAZING (and nutritious).

I forgot to add more to my list of April goals, though. Here are some more:
    - Yoga once a week.
    - Personal trainer once a week.
    - Change up work outs frequently with the NTC app.
    - Wake up 15 minutes earlier to make more of an effort before work.

What about you guys? What are your goals for April?

  12.

    Day 56

    Happy April, everyone!

In honor of the first day of the month, I have compiled a list of goals for myself (especially since I did so well last time with them…)

    APRIL GOALS
    - Eat breakfast every day.
    - Gym 3-4 x a week.
    - Plan meals out Sunday night and portion out for the week.
    - Go on a date.
    - Finish 1st draft of spec script to revise during May.
    - Get down to GW2 of 145 lbs.
    - Don’t feel guilty for eating something you want/indulging.
    - Pay off credit debt.

Today I woke up and went straight to the gym to read 100 pages of Catching Fire while I biked. I biked 8.3 miles in 50 minutes (but I have no idea what that really means), especially since I put on the aerobic setting and just sort of went with wherever it took me. How does that sound? What are your goals for April?

  13.

With the money from my tax return…

I am going to pay off all my credit card debt. I’m going to pay off my therapy bills. I’m going to buy a nice pair of designer jeans. I’m going to replace my dilapidated wallet. And I’m going to buy enough sports bras to last me an entire week without doing laundry. (then the rest is going into savings).

Question for the masses, though…where are your favorite sports bras from? I need at least 3 more, so I’m looking to have them be not over $30, but I still want them to be good… What are your faves?

  14.

    Just Downloaded…

The Nike Training Club app for iphone. I’m completely obsessed. So many levels of different kinds of work outs to choose from with instructional pictures and explanations. I can’t wait to try one out tonight! I’m thinking about starting at the top and just going down the list. GET LEAN up first!

  15.

    Day 53: Gym Report

    15 minute elliptical intervals
    Mid-back rows (3 x 12 @ 45)
    Chest press (3 x 12 @ 40)
    Squats (25 lbs)
    Bicep curl (2 x 10 @ 12)
    Pushups (2 x 10)
    Crunches (varied for 3 mins)

About to go and eat my protein bar and take a fuckawesome shower. Feeling very sweaty but amazing at the moment.
