I'm a 25 year old girl, working in television in Los Angeles and trying my hardest not to get pulled under. This is my log of my journey towards success in health and happiness.

  1.

    Just went on an hour long run around Culver City with my friend’s dog. Nailed it. Exhausted, sweaty. I forgot how much I adore this feeling. Hot shower, then off on a girl date <3

    Anonymous asked: You should try blogilates videos on youtube! Really fun if you only have 10 minutes here or there!

    I’ve tried blogilates, but I live in a very small apartment, and I don’t really have the room to exercise at home. I should just start doing it in the office! Hahah.

    Anonymous asked: what do you do in television and what do you think about living in la?

    I’m a writers assistant on an hour long TV drama, and I love living in LA. So much that I’ve convinced my mom and sister to move out here in May :)

    I’m just going to be totally upfront and say I’m absolutely the worst at tracking my meals. The worrrrrst. My job is too hectic, and we order out every day from menus that don’t have calories listed. I live in LA, so I assume most of the places we order from are health conscious, hahah, but I just don’t know. It’s super frustrating, and it’s driving me a little insane.

    I also haven’t had time to sign up for the gym yet. It’s in a bit of a shady locale, and I want to check it out during the day time this weekend (as opposed to going one night after work). It’s happening this Saturday, though. IT IS. All my friends are going down to Disneyland to support my other friend who’s running the Tinkerbell Marathon this Sunday, and I’m staying here to dog sit. So NO EXCUSES.

    Seriously. Can someone message me continually on Saturday to make sure I’ve signed up? Lol. I’m desperate for motivation. I don’t know why I can’t muster any up when I’m now 30 lbs. above where I want to be.

    Meal Intake 1/9/13

    It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for meeee…and I’m feeling good.

    Breakfast = 41 cals.
    - 2 eight oz. Caramel Vanilla k-cup = 4 cals.
    - 1/4 cup 2% milk = 35 cals.
    - 4 packets of splenda = 2 cals.

    Lunch = 474 cals.
    - Tender Greens butter lettuce salad w/ tarragon dressing and salt & pepper chicken (no skin) = 474 cals.

    The biggest problem with my meals is that lunch is ordered out every day and paid for by the show (and it’s super sad, but I’m way too poor to not take advantage of it). Though a few of the places we order from have calories listed, the majority of them don’t. We shall see how tracking it goes.
